Identity
For Day 6 of Diabetes Blog Week, we're challenged to show what diabetes looks like. Although at my current stage of Type 2 diabetes, a progressive disease, makes it very unlikely that I will need this for diabetes reasons. The main reason I wear it is to help stave off denial. While I rarely actually think about it, every time I do, it's an acknowledgement of my disease and everything that comes with it.

I stopped wearing mine years ago because it kept causing a wound on my write. I’ve never replaced it because I just can’t afford it. They only thing I can wear is sterling silver. I have my eye on one or two, but the cost holds me back. Maybe I’ll ask for one for my birthday.

Wow! You’re old!
Just kidding, but I do like your reasoning for continuing to wear your ID.

Like PrincessLB, I stopped wearing mine in high school during P.E. volleyball (could’ve just switched to the non-serving hand, but oh well). Like Sara, I love your reason for wearing it. Great photo.
